This is our first photoshoot, what should we expect?

You can expect a fun session with plenty of laughs. I aim to create a relaxed, comfortable environment where your family can just be yourselves. I’ll guide you with gentle prompts when needed, but for the most part, I’ll step back and let you be present and enjoy your time together. Some of the best moments happen when you're simply connecting with each other — and that’s what I love to capture! Therefore, don’t expect perfection as a great family photo isn’t just about perfect smiles — it’s about capturing real moments and if there’s a little chaos, that’s okay! Sometimes the messy, unplanned moments are the most beautiful.

Are travel expenses included?

Most of my work is based in Christchurch, however I love to travel, so if you’re located an hour outside of Christchurch, please send me a message via the contact form with your location, and I’ll be happy to provide a quote for an additional travel fee.

How do I book a session?

Family sessions can be booked online, simply select 'book online' which takes you to a calendar to select your date/time then submit your booking request. If you are wanting a time not displayed, you can request this. I will come back to you within 24 hours to confirm the request.

How do I pay for my session?

Once your session is confirmed and you’ve completed the questionnaire and signed the contract, I will provide you with an invoice for payment. Payment can be made online via PayPal or bank transfer. The full balance, including any agreed additional costs (such as extra family members or travel fees), is due at least seven days prior to the session date. For bookings made within seven days of the session, payment is due at the time of booking.

What if the weather is bad or we are unwell?

Sessions can be postponed due to bad weather, or if someone is unwell. Please notify my as soon as you can.

What should we wear?

I want you and your family to wear whatever you feel comfortable and beautiful in! I find neutral, earthy tones work best; however, I really want the photos to represent your personality. I will provide you with some suggestions prior to your session.
